At Genesis Village, we deeply respect the brave men and women who served our country. We’ve previously spotlighted two of our amazing partner veteran organizations, the Submarine Vets and the Women Veterans Initiative. Genesis Village also partners with other organizations that serve and provide aid to military personnel, past and present. Our team has had the honor to partner with H.O.O.V.E.S., a non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted therapy and activities to help veterans cope with PTSD and other mental health challenges. We have also worked alongside Heroes In Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, and their families through various assistance programs, events, and community outreach initiatives.
A Proud Legacy: Over 100 Veterans in Our Community
Our commitment to veterans is heartfelt. We’re honored to have had over 100 veterans in our Genesis Village family over the past decade. Their courage and stories enrich us all. Their sacrifice deserves our endless gratitude and honor. Each month we are proud to highlight our “Veteran of the Month” and commemorate their service on our Wall of Heroes.
Beyond Partnerships: Helping Veterans and Families
We understand the unique challenges veterans and their families face. That’s why we work with the Veteran’s Aid & Attendance program. This important initiative helps veterans or their spouses get needed support.
Appreciation in Action: Rent Discounts for Veterans
We believe in showing gratitude tangibly. Genesis Village offers a $100 monthly rent discount for our veteran residents. This is on top of our 20% discount offer for a full year. It’s our way of giving back to those who’ve given so much.
Celebrating Together: Annual Veterans Celebration
Our commitment extends to community celebration. We invite you to our Annual Veterans Celebration. Join us on Thursday, November 9th, from 6pm – 7pm. The Genoa American Legion Band will be there, ensuring an evening of music and honor. This event is free and open to everyone. It’s a chance to honor our hometown heroes. Whether you’re a veteran, family member, friend, or admirer, this evening is for you.
