There was excitement in the air at Genesis Village as residents gathered for one of spring’s most anticipated traditions — our very own Kentucky Derby celebration! From stylish hats to horse race excitement, it was an afternoon full of laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories.
Genesis Village residents embraced the spirit of the Kentucky Derby in style, arriving dressed to impress in beautiful hats, festive outfits, and plenty of Derby flair. The atmosphere was filled with energy as neighbors gathered together to celebrate one of America’s most beloved traditions.
A Derby Celebration Full of Fun
No Kentucky Derby celebration would be complete without classic refreshments and themed treats. Residents enjoyed sweet tea, bourbon, lemonade, and delicious pecan bourbon balls while socializing and cheering on their favorite horses.
The fun continued with our own horse racing game, where residents joined in on some friendly competition and plenty of laughs. One of the highlights of the evening was our Best Hat Contest and Best-Dressed Competition, where residents proudly showed off their creativity and Derby fashion. Winners took home trophies and plenty of bragging rights! 🏆👒
Of course, the excitement built as everyone selected their favorite horse for the official Kentucky Derby race. Cheers filled the room as residents watched the action unfold, and more trophies were awarded to those who picked the winning horse. 🐎🌹
