This past week at Genesis Village, our community enjoyed two standout events that perfectly capture what independent senior living is all about—creativity, connection, and meaningful experiences. From painting canvases to live music that filled the room with warmth and joy, these events were truly the highlights of the week.
Wine & Canvas: Creativity in Full Bloom
Earlier in the week, residents gathered for one of our most popular activities—Wine & Canvas. This hands-on art experience invited residents to tap into their creative side while painting a beautiful winter barn scene. Each artist brought their own unique style to the canvas, making the event both personal and social.
Activities like Wine & Canvas are a favorite because they encourage self-expression, spark conversation, and create a relaxed environment where friendships grow naturally. It’s just one of the many ways Genesis Village supports active, engaged, and joyful living for seniors.
Winter Concert: An Evening of Live Music
The creativity continued the very next evening with our Winter Concert, featuring the incredibly talented Cookie Baylis. Her musical stylings captivated residents and created a cozy concert atmosphere filled with smiles, singing along, and shared moments.
Live music events are a cornerstone of our Life Enrichment program, offering residents opportunities to relax, reminisce, and connect through the power of music—all without ever leaving the community.
