A Thoughtful Conversation on Grief with Chaplain Lorraine
We were honored to welcome Chaplain Lorraine from Residential Healthcare Group for a powerful and heartfelt presentation focused on dealing with grief and loss. Chaplain Lorraine shared that grief is not one-size-fits-all—and it doesn’t only come from the loss of a loved one.
During the presentation, residents and guests explored the many forms grief can take, including:
The loss of a spouse, family member, or friend
Leaving a longtime home or downsizing
Changes in health or independence
Transitions that come with aging
One of the most important takeaways was simple but deeply validating: it is okay to feel sad. Grief is a natural response to change and loss, and acknowledging those feelings is a critical step toward healing.
